Currently, Mr. Burton serves as the Managing Principal of Burton Advisory, Inc. and CEO of ResQ Pharma, Inc. (A MATTER Member). He has 17 years’ experience in corporate finance, running small businesses and working for firms such as Citigroup Corporate & Investment Bank and GE Capital throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Mr. Burton has earned co-authorship of research published in several peer reviewed scientific journals including the European Journal of Pharmacology. In addition, to holding law and MBA degrees from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, he has B.A. degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
After undergrad he served as an Infantry, Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army, and is heavily involved in community service work with organizations such as the Illinois African American Coalition for Prevention (ILAACP), the Coalition for United Community Labor Force, Hemenway United Methodist Church, Foundation 65 and the Evanston History Center. He also currently serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign MBA Program. Mr. Burton lives in Evanston with his wife, Michelle and their son, Jackson.
